Embracing The Pause: A Spiritual Journey of Self-Discovery and Transformation

“To know yourself as the Being underneath the thinker, the stillness underneath the mental noise, the love and joy underneath the pain, is freedom, salvation, enlightenment.” – Eckhart Tolle

Embarking on a journey of spiritual seeking can lead us down unexpected paths, revealing profound truths and insights that reshape our understanding of the world and ourselves.

For me, delving into the teachings of the perennial philosophy alongside the teachings of Sydney Banks has been a transformational experience, guiding me towards a deeper connection with divine intelligence and innate wisdom.

Perennial Philosophy and Its Connection to Sydney Banks’ Teachings

The perennial philosophy is a spiritual tradition that emphasises the interconnectedness of all religions and philosophies, pointing to a universal truth that transcends cultural and historical boundaries. It recognises that at the core of all spiritual teachings lies a common thread of wisdom, love, and unity.

Sydney Banks’ teachings align with the principles of the perennial philosophy by highlighting the power of thought in shaping our reality, the importance of inner stillness and presence in accessing deeper truths, and the transformative potential of recognising our innate connection to the divine intelligence that permeates all of existence.

Banks’ insights echo the timeless truths of the perennial philosophy, guiding seekers towards a deeper understanding of themselves and their place in the interconnected web of life.

Discovering the Core Truths

Exploring the timeless wisdom of the perennial philosophy has opened my eyes to the interconnectedness of all beings and the transcendent nature of existence.

As I delved deeper into the works of Sydney Banks, I began to see how my thought-created experiences shape my reality, and how fear and anxiety can cloud my innate peace and serenity.

Unraveling Thought Patterns

Becoming aware of how my mind reacts to perceived threats, whether real or imagined, has been a key aspect of my journey. I noticed how my body’s stress response is triggered by fearful thoughts, releasing chemicals that prepare me to fight or flee, even in situations of safety.

Recognising my tendency to catastrophise in moments of deep thought allowed me to pause, breathe, and refocus my attention, steering myself back to the present moment.

Embracing Stillness and Presence

With each conscious breath and intentional shift in focus, I learned to untangle myself from the grip of habitual thoughts and surrender to a place of innate stillness within. In those moments of quiet reflection, I discovered a space of serenity and tranquility that is always available to me, beyond the noise of my busy mind.

This practice of pausing allowed me to embrace the beauty of my true essence, basking in feelings of love, compassion, and a profound sense of interconnectedness with all beings.

The Power of The Pause

I have come to cherish the art of pausing, of stepping back from the incessant chatter of my mind and immersing myself in the profound silence within. In this space of stillness, I find clarity, peace, and a deep sense of connection to the divine intelligence that permeates all of existence.

The PAUSE has become a sacred practice, a moment of surrender and remembrance of the magnificent being that I am, and the interconnected web of life that binds us all together.

Embracing the Transformative Power of The Pause

As I continue on my journey, I embrace the transformative power of The PAUSE. Through stillness, presence, and a deep connection to the core truths of how life works, I discover a path to self-discovery, inner peace, and profound wisdom.

May we all find the courage to pause, to breathe, and to remember the essence of love and unity that resides within us all.

Namaste- I honour the place in you in which the entire universe resides. I honour the place in you, of love, of light, of truth, and peace. When you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, there is only one of us.
